The Echiré brand was created in 1894, when a group of producers based on the outskirts of the Marais Poitevin created the Laiterie Coopérative d’Echiré (79). Since its creation, the brand, which offers exceptional products, has become synonymous with quality and excellence. Its PDO Charentes-Poitou Butter is internationally renowned for its exceptional quality, its flavour with notes of hazelnut, and its extremely malleable texture. This product was awarded the Prix de l’Excellence Française for these very reasons in November 2015. The Echiré cream, with a clean milk flavour and velvety smooth texture, is one of the most acclaimed products of leading pâtissiers and Michelin-starred chefs around the world. Lastly, the Lait d’Excellence Echiré milk, which has just launched, offers a unique freshness.

A majority of the brand’s consumers are prestigious gastronomic restaurants and luxury hotels. Several renowned restaurants, lauded by gastronomic guides, and palaces serve Echiré products to their clientèle, either using them in their recipes or serving them directly to tables. Echiré products are also offered by traditional creameries and delicatessens in Paris, New York, Los Angeles and Tokyo. The butters and creams can be found across 5 continents, in more than 40 countries. In Japan, lovers of the brand can find 7 exclusive stores, in front of which you’ll find long queues each morning. Since the end of 2022, we’ve been delighted to welcome you in our Store, found just next to the dairy.

Whilst the brand has enjoyed worldwide eminence for more than a century, this prestigious status is down to the quality of the butter produced, and not the volumes.
